Kitten Cat - Rainy Day Play
July 31Megan Says: Our book before bed tonight was about a little cat who could not play outside because it was raining. He played with his squeaky mouse his mummy told him off for making a noise. When the sun came out there was a rainbow.

Daddy Says: I don’t think that I have read this book to the children before and it is probably a bit too young for a 3 and 4 year old. Jack and Megan identified well with the kitten that could not play outside as it has been raining all summer in England. This book was quite easy to read aloud although neither the children or I understood why Kitten Cat had to be quiet when playing with his toy mouse. I even went back to see if we had missed a page. Kitten Cat is asked to be quiet and when he keeps making a noise, his mother takes his mouse away and he cries. We did not understand why he had to be particularly quiet so this upset the children a bit. Don’t think we will bother with this book for a while.
