Meggy Says:

Our book today was Warren and the Very Windy Day. It is all about a rabbit who looks after his garden but hasn’t got any friends to play with. He gets very cross when the wind comes and blows all of his flowers over but some animals come and cheer him up. He has a cup of tea with a mouse and his cup has carrots on it. I like to touch the soft pictures in the book.

Daddy Says:

Warren and the Very Windy day is a little gem in our collection of children’s books. A lovely story of Warren’s feelings about the wind and finding new friends, this book is beatifully illustrated with pictures of the wealth of nature in Warren’s garden. As well as lots of detail, parts of the images such as dandelion heads and Warren’s jumper, have a velvet like texture added to them that the children still enjoy. This book is easy to read and seems to be “just the right length” (as Mummy put it) for the children to listen to, the story being interesting without being too long. This book may be unfairly overlooked, as it has no picture or rating at Amazon, but is great for young children. Look out for details like Warren’s mug and carrot pattern duvet cover!!
