Meggy Says:
At bedtime we had one of our favourite books,Sharing a Shell. It is about three animals that all share the same shell house in the sea. They all help each other and are best friends but then the start to argue. Jack is my friend but we go argue sometimes too. At the end of the story, sea animals are all friends again.

I like the glittery pictures and and the colourful seaside. Jack likes looking at the dark sky when the storm comes and seeing a seagull with an umbrella.

Daddy Says:
Another brilliant story book written in verse from author of The Gruffalo Julia Donaldson. Sharing a Shell
is comic and emotional in turns, the story of the three sea friends that can’t live without each other is easy to read and enjoyable to listen to. A crab, a bristleworm and an anemone realise that they are stronger united and, despite a brief falling out, all ends happily.

The colourful illustrations are both simple and packed with detail that little ones love to linger over. Get ready to wait for a minute before you turn the pages while little fingers point out all kinds of sea creature goings on and marvel at the glittery sparkles.

We are never disappointed with Julia Donaldson books so it’s no wonder this book is rated with 5 stars at Amazon.
