Meggy Says:

Today I have not been feeling very well so Daddy choose our story book for me. It was about lots of different types of pants and has funny pictures of people wearing them. My favourite pants in this book belong to the baby panda bear but Jack likes the Scary Pants the best. I did not want to sit up for the story tonight so I lay down and said the words with Daddy.

Daddy Says:

This hilarious book is just the kind of thing that children go for. All about pants, it had funny cartoons on every page and the text is great to read aloud. The nonsensical rythmic ryhmes really get the children going in this book and I chose it tonight to cheer Meggy up. There was a time, when he was about two, that Jack had to have this story every night and both the children know the words by heart. Before anyone started wearing “real pants” the whole silly concept of this book was a great introduction to a world without nappies. Worth getting.

Mummy Says:

We first had this book from the library, and it was so funny, I had to go out and buy our own copy. The cartoons are very silly and the rhyming verse is just funny - one of those kids books that you dont mind reading over and over again…although the back inside cover always causes problems - it’s got little pictures of all the pants in the book all over the page and Jack’s favourite thing, AFTER the story has been read, is to identify all the little pants - a great way of stringing out bedtime. But also great if you have no energy left for the bedtime story - after two or three reads you will know it off by heart!!
