Tonight we had a book about a little critter who was pretending he was lot of different animals. His Daddy kept telling him to go to bed but he didn’t. Jack liked the little mouse in the pictures.

This is an endearing book about a little critter who keeps avoiding his bedtime by being different characters in his imagination. His dad plays along with this game for a while before finally putting his foot down.
This book, part of a large “Little Critter” series by Mercer Mayer, is nicely illustrated and a bit of fun that reflects family life with toddlers. We currently don’t have any of the other books, but judging by this one, they are easy to read and quite short. Perfect for a quick story after a busy day.
