The Very Hungry Caterpillar

For our story at bedtime I choose the caterpillar book. The caterpillar was very hungry and ate so many things that he had a tummy ache. I ate lots of pizza at teatime but I don’t have a tummy ache yet. I don’t want to be a butterfly.
Daddy Says:
This is the book that parents often remember from their childhood. It is, no doubt, a classic. The book teaches counting, days of the week and the weird life cycle of a butterfly. I am not sure that the children love story as much I do though. It is one of our books that Jack and Megan don’t request that often, though they do enjoy it. We have many other books that rank higher in our collection, the best ones are filed in Jack and Megan’s Best Books For Children.

I love the hungry caterpillar and get Mummy, Daddy, my big sister Liz or anyone I can to read it to me. I really like to say the story myself. Daddy also reads it to me in French.
