Jack Says: At bedtime tonight I asked for the penquin book and found it on my shelves for Daddy. It is about a penguin who everybody likes to cuddle but he just wants to play on his own. When Little Charlotte at nursery cuddles me, she squeezes me very hard and I don’t like it.

Daddy Says: This is a really good book with a cartoon style layout and funny pictures. The story of Cuddley Dudley is that he wants everyone to leave him alone so he can play by himself and he goes to different lengths to avoid all the other penguins who want to cuddle him. As you might guess, he gets lonely and is pleased when he gets to be cuddled again. There is also a slightly odd twist at the very end that suprises the children. Great fun.
